Event Details
Lace up your skates and hit the ice during a Public Skating event at Canadian Tire Centre on March 17 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. and March 20 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Book your one hour time slot in advance (online only and must purchase a spot per each skater) for a fun-filled skating session on NHL-calibre ice. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned skater, enjoy a safe, welcoming environment perfect for all ages. Make lasting memories, stay active, and experience the thrill of skating at one of Ottawa’s most iconic venues.
*Please note last 10 Minutes of ice time is reserved for ice maintenance. And a waiver must be signed upon arrival.
More Information
Please ensure you have purchased tickets for all Skaters in your party prior to your arrival as we will be scanning the tickets at the door.
ICE RENTAL WAIVERS
All Skaters, or where a Skater is a minor, the Skater’s parent or legal guardian, must complete a waiver in order to participate in the Public Skate ice time.
If a fully completed waiver has not been submitted on behalf of a Skater prior to the scheduled ice time, then the Skater cannot go on the ice and risks losing the booking.
PARKING
Please Park in Lot #3. If Lot #3 is full, please park in overflow parking Lot #4
BUILDING ACCESS
Skaters and Spectators may start to arrive for their Public Skate session 30 minutes prior to the start of their ice time.
Please Enter the building via Gate #3. Skaters will be directed to the dressing rooms by Guest Services staff. Spectators will be directed to the designated viewing section by Guest Services staff.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- It is highly recommended that all skaters wear a CSA approved helmet during all skating sessions. NOTE: CSA approved helmets are mandatory for anyone 10 years of age and under.
· Strollers and wheelchairs are permitted on the ice only after wheels have been cleaned at the specified location.
- No sticks or pucks can be brought and/or used on the ice during Public Skating.
- The last 10 minutes of the Public Skating ice time is reserved for ice resurfacing.
- Spectators may come and watch the ice time, without purchasing a ticket, and will be directed by Guest Services staff to the designated viewing section in the stands.
NO OUTSIDE ALCOHOL is permitted to be brought into the building. No food and beverages may be brought onto the ice.
